what website can i search for surgical procedures with surgical instruments?

I want to know what website i can find about surgical procedures and the surgical instruments they use in that certain surgery?

I have this project wherein we have to state a certain surgical procedure and place all the necessary surgical instruments used in the surgery, im a nursing student. i dont know wwhat website to look into about surgical procedures and their corresponding surgical tools?

www.altiusdirectory.com would be a good starting point for additional resources.

For such a broad assignment, I would recommend picking the surgical procedure first. I think it would be easier to research "how an appendectomy is performed".

What are the most common ENT, Head and Neck surgical procedures in the UK?

What ENT surgical procedures are most frequent in the UK (private and public). What is your opinion on the pre-operative management of these conditions?

ENT would probably be tonsillectomy though it is not performed as often nowadays.  In the past the used to take children's tonsils out straight away, now they are only removed if the child is getting persistant tonsillitis which is affecting their life such as missing school frequently.  With adults they don't remove them as often as it has more complecations.  I got tonsillitis at 18 for the first time and had it permanently for 2 years before it was decided it would be easier to take them out.

Why do I get light headed when people talk about surgical procedures?

I have a couple friends who are nurses. Whenever they go into detail about surgical procedures I get real light headed and have some shortness of breathe. What is going on with me? Am I having a mini panic attack, or is it a case of Syncope?

That happens to me to, or in my case I end up passing out.  Its just the thought of that stuff being done that freaks you out and grosses you out to the extent you cant take it... at least thats how it was explained to me.

What are different other none surgical procedures to get rid of access belly fat?

What are different other none surgical procedures to get rid of access belly fat? Laser? Shots? What are they called so i can research and find out prices.

Start eating right...lots of veggies and protein,,,skip all white bread and all sugar totally....and WALK ...preferably take walks in the morning, just drink a little water and WALK...your tummy is empty, so the body will burn fat for energy...

If you do this repeatedly YOU will get rid of  your tummy in 6 months.

What surgical procedures against overweight are there?

I'm going to do a presentation on surgical procedures against overweight. I know about the gastric bypass surgery, but is there anything else?

Look at www.altiusdirectory.com for information on the different procedures. And I would not recommend one procedure over another, as the other poster mentioned. The lap band is less effective for many people and a lot of insurance companies only cover one procedure per patient, so there is no going back for gastric bypass if the lap band doesn't work. The thing is, different procedures are recommended for different people; what might work well for one person may not lead to lasting weight loss for another. This is something the individual and their bariatric surgeon need to decide.

Are there any home remedies for getting rid of flys attacking a dog's ears?

We have a Husky that has flies that are attacking our dog's ears. His fur and flesh are raw and missing. They're getting bad and we need a home remedy to help get rid of them. They're just getting him and not the other dog we have.

We bought an over the counter medicine for him especially for that but it didn't do anything. Sometimes home remedies work better than medication.

go to vet and get an ear mite medication. its designed to limit the dirt in the ear canal, which can cause a nasty odor if left unkempt. so if the animal has a slight odor
that's cause for ear infections which in this event attracts gnats and biting fly. I'd get them looked at, the vet can explain further.

Home Remedies for getting rid of redness from sunburn?

I got sunburn badly on my face yesterday and the prom is in a week. Im stuck in the house with basic house-hold things, not much I can really grab from the store like Aloe or anything. I've got some Banana Boat Aloe Spray, just cools my face off, it is still red. Is there any home remedies that actually work? If so, could you please type step-by-step instructions to do them?

egg whites work on burns, i got burned badly on my hand and the egg whites helped take the red out. If you're up for it, put it on your face, leave it for as long as you can and don't touch it!! i hope it works, and have fun at prom  you can always put makeup on if none of these remedies work .

What would be a good major/minor for health/fitness careers?

I am most likely going to major in business and just changed my mind from minoring in marketing to some type of health/fitness career. Something along the lines of a personal trainer, physical therapist, ect. What other careers are out there in fitness that are well paying and can require atleast an associates degree? What would the major/minor be called?

Physical Education major covers all that material. Also, athletic training is a good major as well. They both cover a lot of biology (lower level courses), kenesiology, anatomy, physiology, etc. To become a trainer, you will need to take an aditional "class" (it's like a week or something) and then pass a training test (24 hour fitness will have info on that). Other careers are of course, PE teaching, athletic trainer (leaning toward medical/healing injuries/etc), physical therapist, personal trainer, that's about all I can think of at the moment. There are a ton or resources out there, it would not take a too much research to find them.

Career ideas that combine bachelor degrees in biology and psychology with an interest in health/fitness?

I am one class away from completing my degree in biology, and a few classes from my psychology degree.  I have a lot of interest in the psychology of learning, as well as health and fitness.  (I love working out.)  I would really like to find a career that combines these interests, but my advisors at college, as well as other professors, family and friends don't have any ideas.  I have taken some career assessment tests on computers, but they require you to pick only one major of interest.  And I would really like to do something that makes a difference, where I can see that I'm helping people.  I don't want to sit behind a desk.  I need action and variety. Anyone have any ideas?

If I had your qualifications and interests I think I would consider teaching.  You might be able to do some Physical Education work with troubled kids.  A different approach might be to write a sort of loose essay describing what you consider to be perfect activities (not a perfect job) for yourself.  With that essay in hand you could do a bit of polishing and it may lead you to the perfect career.  It might also show you something you hadn't considered but would be great for you if you only took two or three more classes.

how similar is a health fitness specialist to a physical therapist?

I want to know because right now i am about to finish going to school for massage therapy. i want to work with athletes but i figured to work with athletes to also be able to be a physical therapist too. i was looking online at the delta college website and it showed something about a health fitness specialist. i wondered if the 2 weresimilar to each other.

They are nothing alike.  PT requires a graduate degree and passing a national exam.  They work with all ages making people more functional.  Heath fitness specialist is a personal trainer.  On the job training. They work with the well adults.

What are some good jobs in health/fitness/nutrition? And what college courses do i take to qualify?

Im in college and want a career in fitness/health (personal trainer) but want something that pays better than your regular 24 hour fitness training job.  I just dont know where to start or what courses to take to be in this type of work and still get paid well.

Well for now thats the place to start. Maybe you can be a personal fitness person or something.  You have to start somewhere.
